Dmitri Thompson began his journey into real estate in 2010 by shadowing a friend / mentor. This mentor shared amazing marketing techniques and open house strategies, but the most important thing that was shared was a commitment to attention to detail while dealing with clients and putting their needs in front of anything else. Attention to detail was second nature to Dmitri due to the fact he was a Navy veteran who spent 4 years in naval intelligence and 2 years in the Presidential Honor Guard. While it seemed as if Dmitri had tools to pursue real estate, he didn't. Dmitri decided to stay with his technology based career path and study real estate from afar. Fast forward to 2016 when an opportunity presented itself that would blend technology and real estate. Dmitri was presented with an offer to manage systems for a real estate investment firm. While managing IT and social media platforms, Dmitri began to learn how the commercial / multifamily side of real estate worked. Again, this began with shadowing during purchases of buildings, but later grew into Dmitri managing properties and ultimately successfully negotiating multimillion dollar deals. Everything was seemingly going well, but real estate is like everything else in life, you're only as good as the people with which you surround yourself. After having differences of opinion on how the clients should be treated and the direction of the company, Dmitri decided to leave and create his own brand, one that would focus on the client experience. Fast forward again to right now and welcome to DT Real Estate, where promises made are promises kept.
